Amber is 5 years old and has spastic diplegia cerebral palsy which she was diagnosed with at 18 months old.

She is unable to walk and relies on a walking frame (which I'm sure she has ran into some of you lol) and a wheelchair to get her around, As her leg muscles are so tight she is unable to stand flat footed and has to wear splints to put her feet into the flat position.

She is an absolute angel but needs a lot of help and cannot take part in a lot of things she is so happy and loves life. I know a lot of you have seen her tearing her way around the playground but one thing that is always there is that wonderful smile she has.

There is an operation Called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy which children with Ambers type of cerebral palsy can have which can relieve the tightness and stiffness in her legs and through a hell of a lot of physiotherapy, exercise and a lot of hard work and determination to re build up all the strength in Ambers legs will eventually enable her to take her very first steps unaided and hopefully the outcome will be that she will be able to walk. The operation will not cure her cerebral palsy.

Government funding for this operation was cut last April 2013 as it is extremely expensive, so here we are just about to start our fundraising adventure for the operation and get our beautiful little missy up on them twinkle toes.

Our Target is £60,000

It is going to be a long process but i know we can achieve it xx
